Peter Ferry, author of Travel Writing: A Novel, will be giving a Fiction Writing Workshop in Ashland on January 19, 2010. A few months back I sent out a save the date. Hopefully you saved it!
Seating is limited and first come first serve. Why come to a writing workshop with a debut novelist? This is an amazing opportunity to learn more about writing and meet a working writer. It’s also a chance to do some writing in a supportive environment.
What: A 2-hour fiction writing workshop with author Peter Ferry
Where: Decker Writing Studio, top floor, Central Hall 240, Southern Oregon University Campus. You can find a campus map at the website for SOU.
When: Tuesday, January 19, 2010 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
The text for the workshop is a copy of Ferry’s book, available online, at Bloomsbury Books, or for purchase at the door.
Updated to add: In addition to the fiction workshop at SOU, we had a literary salon for Peter Ferry at our house. Since juggling a baby, a full-time job, and literary events is a lot, we purposefully invited fewer people to this gathering than to the one we hosted with nonfiction writer Hope Edelman. Read a brief account of Peter Ferry’s visit here.
